Vanilla Biscotti (Teething Biscuits)










A tasty alternative to plain teething biscuits, baked in a similar way to Italian biscotti.


Food Allergies
Cow's Milk
Peanut
Egg


Ingredients
5 oz of sugar   
1.5 tbsp of butter   
1 egg   
Half of a tsp of baking powder   
A pinch of salt (a tiny pinch)  
1 tsp of vanilla  extract  
4 oz of flour   


Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 deg F/180 deg C.
Cream the sugar with the butter and beat in the egg.
Add the vanilla extract, flour, baking powder and salt and mix the dough well.
Form the dough into a long "log" shape and bake for 20 minutes on a greased baking sheet/cookie sheet.
Allow to cool, then cut into 1/2 inch slices.
Place each slice, cut side down, on a baking/cookie sheet, then bake for another 15-20 minutes, turning the Biscotti over half way through the cooking time.
