Apple and Blueberry Purée
Keep the cooking time in this recipe to the absolute minimum. When your baby is slightly older, start to purée raw apples without any pre-cooking. If you use organic fruit, you can include the skin in the purées for older toddlers.
Makes 2-4 servings
Can be stored for 1 day in the fridge or up to 3 months in the freezer

Ingredients

apples peeled, cored, and cut into chunks
blueberries (fresh), a handful (about 30g)

water
Directions
Put the apples and blueberries into a saucepan with the water.
Simmer for a few minutes until the apples are just tender and the blueberries have burst open.
Whiz in a food processor or blender, or with a hand-held blender until smooth. Leave to cool before serving.
For newly-weaned babies, sieve the purée using a nylon sieve.
